That is how Smita was introduced to the elusive world of fabrics, patterns, style, colours and design. That’s when she stepped forward and embraced her romantic relationship with fashion and colours.
Smita travels to different parts of India and the World, this wheel of diverse cultures and styles inspired her to create and design her dresses for weddings and functions. After passionately and successfully designing for years for her friends & families, she is now inspired to launch her creations with the world as “Chocolate”.
Smita says, “My creations are designs using Indian handwoven fabrics and embroideries. They are a blend of fusion and contemporary silhouettes. I have designed gowns made from pat and eri silk from the northeast India, ikat and chanderi dresses, kurtas, skirts, chikankari lehengas, and long skirts that have a global appeal.”
